These Terms of Service are provided by ChatVault ("ChatVault", "we", "us", "our"), the developer of Chat Vault. By installing Chat Vault or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension and do not use the service.
Chat Vault is a Chrome browser extension that backs up AI chat conversations from supported platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Perplexity) to local browser storage or your Google Drive. Pro features — including unlimited backups, auto-backup scheduling, Google Drive sync, and bulk backup — require a paid subscription or one-time lifetime purchase.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a paid account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately at support@chatvault.site if you suspect unauthorized access.
One account per person. You may not share, transfer, or sell access to your account.
Monthly and Yearly plans are billed automatically at the start of each billing period via Paddle. You may cancel at any time from your account page — access to Pro features continues until the end of the current paid period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. We do not issue partial refunds for unused time on monthly or yearly plans except where required by law.
Lifetime plan is a one-time payment granting perpetual access to all Pro features available at the time of purchase, plus future platform additions covered by the current feature set. No recurring charges.
Refund policy — if you are unsatisfied with your purchase, contact us at support@chatvault.site within 7 days of the original purchase for a full refund, no questions asked. Refunds for renewals are handled on a case-by-case basis.
All prices are listed in USD. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on your location.
The Free plan allows up to 10 stored conversations. When the limit is reached, no new conversations can be backed up until existing ones are deleted. Upgrading to Pro removes this limit immediately.

Chat Vault, its branding, design, and code are owned by the developer. The extension does not claim ownership over your AI conversations — those belong to you and are subject to the terms of the respective AI platforms you use.
By using Chat Vault, you grant us no rights to your conversation content. We cannot access it.
Chat Vault operates alongside third-party AI services (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Perplexity). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these services. Updates to their websites may occasionally affect Chat Vault functionality — we will update the extension as quickly as possible when this occurs, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted compatibility.
Your use of these third-party platforms is governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies.
If you connect Google Drive, you authorize Chat Vault to create and modify files within your Google Drive using only the drive.file scope. We do not access any existing files in your Drive. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google account settings or from the Chat Vault Storage tab.
Chat Vault is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the extension will function correctly at all times, particularly following updates to third-party AI platforms. We are not liable for any loss of data — always maintain your own independent backups of critical information.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to Chat Vault shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
We aim to keep Chat Vault operational and updated, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime or uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice to active subscribers.
We may update these Terms of Service. We will notify Pro subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of Chat Vault after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
